Bronze Casting - Pouring the Bronze

The pourmaster now uses the Y-handle to tip the crucible and let the bronze pour into the opening of the mold. At this stage the crucible might feel a bit top heavy, but the equipment is well balanced. So by keeping a firm grip and taking care, the pourmaster allows a smooth and controlled flow. Since the molds are in sand and everyone is well protected, a little bit of spillage (virtually inevitable) does no harm.
