Bronze Casting - Step 21
Bronze Cast with Patina
Finally after much labor, effort, and dispensing of treasure, the final casted, deshelled, worked, sandblasted, and patinaed bronze statue is, after application of a coat of a soft paste wax and a final buffing, ready for display. Of course, as always the artist must explain to the world the deep hidden meaning behind the work.
"In 'Heroism in the Face of Adversity' represented by four contented pigs sitting in opposition at the four corners of the compass, the artist is affirming his belief that life and existence is a struggle of all creatures of the earth which must be faced with unending optimism, courage, and faith."
"Either that or he just likes pigs."
