Laocoon and His Sons

A painting of the ancient sculpture where Laocoon and his kids got eaten up by a snake. The original was originally found in bits and pieces and supposedly Michelangelo helped put it back together. This painting was done as a grey and white monochrome (called griseille by the eggheads) and then glazed with a raw sienna and terra verte for the background.
