The few norteamericanos who know of the Mexican comic and actor Cantinflas have mostly garnered their knowledge from two films, Around the World in 80 Days starring David Niven and Pepe with Dan Dailey and Shirley Jones (yes, the Shirley Jones of Partridge Family fame).

But South of the Border - that is the border formed by el Rio Grande - Cantinflas has remained an iconic entertainment figure - even a quarter of a century after his death.
