Jack Webb
(As Joe Friday)
The picture is not a double dipping from an earlier picture but is a revision. The image shown - like the more recent drawings - was created by scaleable vector graphics. By clicking on the image the new picture can be compared to the earlier one which was rendered from techniques the like of which Leonardo Da Vinci would be familiar.1
Footnote
Leonardo, though, didn't necessarily use the same medium. The initial picture was drawn with a graphite pencil which wasn't around when Leonardo started drawing. Leonardo would draw with charcoal, ink, or metal points. The latter was usually silverpoint which required paper to be coated with gesso (a type of plaster) or he may have started out using leadpoint which does not require a prepared surface. And of course Leonardo did not practice digital coloring.
As far as Jack Webb and his most famous role as Detective Joe Friday, it's likely you've heard the famous Dom-Da-Dom-Dom theme song from Dragnet even if you've never seen the show. The music played no little part in keeping the program in the US collective consciousness.
And behind the show was its creator. But you know all about him.
Ha? (To quote Shakespeare). You don't?
