Thomas Edison

Those who have had the pleasure of dealing with the US Patent Office to successfully push a filing through to an actual patent certainly appreciate the achievements of Thomas Edison in having over 1000 granted US patents. But there are others - mostly those who wouldn't know a claim if it bit them in the prior art - who like to sneer that Thomas Edison never invented anything. Not the electric light, not the motion picture. Nope, Tom didn't do nuthin'.
