Al Jennings

Almost certainly you've never heard of Alphonso Jackson Jennings. And yet Al - as he was called - was the protagonist in a major Hollywood movie from the 1950's and portrayed by one of the Hollywood's leading men. As for Al himself, he had starred in silent pictures and there are photographs of him giving advice to later Hollywood actors like Hugh O'Brien and Humphrey Bogart.
