Yes, yes. Every Joe and Josephine Blow on the streets knows that Paul Dirac, winner of the 1933 Nobel Prize in Physics, derived the equation that combined quantum mechanics with Einstein's theory of relativity. And said Joe and Josephine Blow knows that when he looked at the equation which is a first order differential equation that it predicted the positron - ergo, a positive electron - before it was actually discovered.
But the Dirac Equation also cleared up a point that bedeviled students of physics and chemistry. However, the point is rarely cleared up since most of the teachers don't know Paul cleared up the problem.
